Planned Parenthood Wants to Hear Your Story

Planned Parenthood and University of Minnesota are teaming up to learn more about experiences with birth control among people of color, and trust and respect between communities of color and family planning clinics like Planned Parenthood.

Trust and Respect in Birth Control Experiences

This research project seeks to understand how values, needs, and motivations related to birth control and going to clinics like Planned Parenthood impact lived experiences and birth control choices among people of color, their families, and their communities.

We are looking for folks of color in the Twin Cities Metro area to participate in a 60 to 90-minute video OR audio interview about their experiences with abortion, trust and respect in health care, and long-term birth control options. These interviews will be used to create educational videos and presentations for Planned Parenthood clinics and the public.

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • Speak English
  • Are between 18 and 45 years old
  • Are not currently pregnant
  • Have had an abortion in the past two years
  • Are in the Twin Cities Metro area
  • Have ever had a health care provider talk to you about getting an IUD (Mirena, Liletta, Skyla, Paragard) or Implant (Nexplanon)

Participants will be compensated with a $50 gift card.
