Youth Leadership

At Planned Parenthood, youth are at the heart of our work.  Through the Teen Council Peer Education Program, high school-aged youth become sexual health resources in their schools and communities.

Tomorrow's leaders are already here.

Tomorrow's leaders are already here.

Teen Council is a year-long leadership program for youth in 10-12th grade. The program focuses on education, advocacy, and social justice. Teen Council members become resources to their peers and communities by offering classroom presentations on sexual health topics, participating in community impact projects, and advocating for reproductive rights. When students see a peer presenting with confidence and knowledge about health topics and how they intersect with real life, they listen.

Through the Peer Education Institute, we provide support and training for other organizations to start their own Teen Council program.  Email [email protected] to learn more.
