I turned to Planned Parenthood when I was in high school for birth control. If Planned Parenthood hadn't helped me, I would not be who I am today.

I found out about the Affordable Care Act while volunteering at Planned Parenthood. I was so excited because it meant I could have health insurance again.

At 17, I became pregnant. I decided to terminate the pregnancy because it was the best option for me at the time. It's important that abortion remain safe and legal for women. 

If I hadn't gone to Planned Parenthood, I would not have gotten my diagnosis of stage two breast cancer. I might not even be here today. 

If Planned Parenthood didn't exist, I would not have access to reproductive health care. I really can't imagine a world without Planned Parenthood.

We know that students are sexually active—it's a fact. And so we need to make sure they are equipped with the right tools to make healthy decisions. 

I would not have been able to afford birth control, which I needed for a medical reason, without Planned Parenthood. 

Planned Parenthood was the only provider that took my endometriosis seriously. If it weren't for Planned Parenthood, I wouldn't have been able to have a child. 

When I was 19, my boyfriend and I went to Colombia together. While we were there, I found out I was pregnant. Abortion is illegal in Colombia. I felt isolated, afraid, and alone. I didn’t know who to turn to or where to go. The only thing I knew is that I was not ready to bring a child into this world. 

Because I was able to get preventive care, including birth control, I was able to fulfill my life goals: to graduate college and become a mother.
